Accessible TripSpecial Journeys is at it again by heading to BRANSON, Missouri! We don’t call this a ‘Traveler Favorite’, for nothing. This trip always brings lots of laughs, exciting shows, excellent shopping, and yummy food… what more could you ask for on a vacation? Branson has over 100 different shows in 53 theaters and is known as the Live Show Capital of the World and we think we’ve picked some wonderful shows to keep us entertained during this exciting trip!
Get ready to be wowed at our first performance. We’ll see a spellbinding show of energetic, high-flying fun in the Shanghai Circus. This new show will amaze us with colorful costumes, juggling, dance and of course, aerial acrobatics. We’ll see stunts such as acrobatic numbers, mask changing, balancing, flying across the stage, and foot juggling. You’ll be in awe of these talented performers. When we’re done with the show, we’ll head to the gift show to find unique souvenirs to commemorate your trip.
Next up we head to a fan-favorite Rock n’ Roll show to see the Million Dollar Quartet. This Tony award-winning Broadway show will have us foot-tapping and singing along to some of the best Rock n’ Roll songs in history such as ‘Great Balls of Fire’, ‘Hound Dog’, ‘Walk the Line’ and more. This show takes us back to 1956 when Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis came together to make some of the greatest songs of all time. While watching this spectacular show we’ll dine on a delicious dinner.
Saddle up for our next show to see the Hughes Brothers Country Show. We’ll enjoy watching the beloved Hughes Brothers captivate us with their rich, signature-smooth harmonies and hilarious brotherly antics. They’ll perform good ol’ country and western music, with a bit of patriotic and gospel songs mixed in. If you love country music, a live band, and a good time, then this will be the show for you!
The final show brings us to the Little Opry Theater for a production of Smoke on the Mountain. This show is set in a small town in North Carolina during the great depression that showcases The Sanders Family. The story follows the Family as they travel to perform gospel songs for a Baptist church in the 1930s. It’s been called one of the best wholesome shows in Branson!
While in Branson, we’ll also make sure to stop by some exciting shops and delicious restaurants. Don’t forget the souvenir shopping as well! So, as they say in show business, sit back and enjoy the show!
