If you're fixin' for some southern charm and to see where the stars of country live, then join Special Journeys on this dazzling tour of Nashville, Tennessee!
On this delightful tour, we will take a ride on the General Jackson Showboat which is the quintessential Southern experience. Touted as one of Nashville's top tourist attractions, The General Jackson was named after another riverboat of the same name that was built in 1817. This 300-foot paddle wheel showboat will cruise along the Cumberland River offering beautiful views of the Nashville skyline. We will enjoy a delicious buffet meal and a wonderful show giving tribute to some of the best country artists in the business while aboard.
While on our tour of Nashville we will stop in and see a show at the Grand Ole Opry Theater, that's right, THE Grand Old Opry, which is a music venue dedicated to honoring country music and its history. A trip to Nashville wouldn't be complete without a visit to the theater to see some great country music. If you're a fan of country, we know you've heard of the Opry, which has been a staple of Nashville for decades. This is the place that 'made country music famous' after all! The biggest names in country music have played here, such as Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Garth Brooks, and so many more. While the exact line up for the date of our visit has not been announced yet, it promises to be an amazing show with great country music!
What better way to get to know the stars and the city of Nashville than to take a sightseeing tour through the neighborhoods to see their real estate. We will hop aboard a bus to enjoy a few hours driving around and seeing where recording artists and actors call home, such as Toby Keith, Dolly Parton, Nicole Kidman, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift and Martina McBride. You'll be sure to see some lavish estates of many different styles, from unique modern abodes to rustic farmhouses, you'll see it all.
Our final activity of the Nashville tour takes us to Madame Tussauds. If you haven't heard of Madame Tussauds, then you're in for a treat! Here you'll get to rub shoulders with the famous musicians of the past and present. This venue houses wax figures of stars from all genres of music. You'll be able to pose and take pictures with Elvis, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, to Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, and many more.
Delicious meals and shopping experiences will also await us in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee!
