Music lovers, this trip is for you. Head to Music City with Special Journeys where we will immerse ourselves in everything Honky Tonk! So, make sure you pack your cowboy boots and get ready for a good time, ya'll!

On this delightful tour, we will take a ride on the General Jackson Showboat which is the quintessential Southern experience. Touted as one of Nashville's top tourist attractions, The General Jackson was named after another riverboat of the same name that was built in 1817. This 300-foot paddle wheel showboat will cruise along the Cumberland River offering beautiful views of the Nashville skyline. We will enjoy a delicious buffet meal and a wonderful show giving tribute to some of the best country artists in the business while aboard.

While on our tour of Nashville we will stop in and see a show at the Grand Ole Opry Theater, that's right, THE Grand Old Opry, which is a music venue dedicated to honoring country music and its history. A trip to Nashville wouldn't be complete without a visit to the theater to see some great country music. If you're a fan of country, we know you've heard of the Opry, which has been a staple of Nashville for decades. This is the place that 'made country music famous' after all! The biggest names in country music have played here, such as Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Garth Brooks, and so many more. While the exact line up for the date of our visit has not been announced yet, it promises to be an amazing show with great country music!

Our next activity brings us to the center of it all, Broadway! This major thoroughfare in downtown Nashville is a must-see for all things entertainment and music. It's also known as Honky Tonk Highway, and in case you didn't know, a Honky Tonk is where you'll find a least one stage, a cold drink, and a party that lasts all day. And we really mean all day, these places start playing at 10 in the morning. So, if you're looking for some fun and wanting to listen to some great music, this is the place to go. There are venues owned by many famous recording artists, such as Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, and even Jimmy Buffett's Maragritaville. There are also plenty of places on Broadway to stop and shop for the perfect county themed souvenir.

When we're not listening to country music, we'll grab some Tennessee grub including biscuits, BBQ and fried chicken. YUM!
