Travel to beautiful Green Bay, Wisconsin with Special Journeys. We'll spend time relaxing and exploring this wonderful city. The city sits along the shores of Lake Michigan, at the southern end of the Green Bay, where some fishermen say that this is the best waters for fishing. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as the botanical gardens, local zoo, and railroad museum, just to name a few.

Our first stop in Green Bay will be to the beautiful Botanical Garden. Covering 47 acres, these lush gardens and peaceful woods offer a sweet respite to the bustle of Green Bay. We'll see many native plants and greenery as well as fountains, decorative terraces, and gazebos to relax in. We'll finish our tour with a stop in the Botanical Garden Gift Shop to find delightful plant-themed souvenirs.

Our next activity brings us to the NEW Zoo. Home to nearly 90 different species of animals from around the world, this zoo has it all, from the woodlands, the arctic, and yes, even giraffes from the African safari! We'll see otters frolic in their pond, a stealthy Canada Lynx, big black bears, playful penguins (tuxedos optional!) and cranky alligators. If that's not enough animal viewing, we'll head on over to the petting zoo to see goats, sheep and alpacas. Watch out for the llamas though, they can spit up to 15 feet!!

All aboard for the next excursion on this trip! This activity brings us to the National Railroad Museum. We'll have a chance to learn about the rich history of the United States Railroad by seeing spectacular photos from David Plowden who was a well-known steam locomotive photographer, see the world's largest steam locomotive called 'Big Boy' who weighs 1.1 million pounds, and the futuristic Aerotrain which was made to go up to 100 miles per hour. This museum is known as a 'hidden gem' in Green Bay, therefore it's certainly a stop we couldn't miss!

And a trip to Wisconsin must include a taste of the local fare, more specifically, the award-winning cheese! It will be a fun trip to Wisconsin with many memories to be made and you never know, you may even come back a cheesehead!

The exact dates for this trip will be announced in mid to late April
