Join us as we munch on some Cracker Jacks, hot dogs, and watch some great baseball. On this Baseball Tour we will travel to the beautiful city of Chicago. The first recorded baseball game in the Chicago area was recorded in 1851, and within 15 years, there were nearly 45 amateur teams competing in the city. While we won't have time to see 45 games during our tour, we will see three games including, the Cubs, White Sox and the Brewers.
At Wrigley Field, located on the North Side of the city, we'll see the Cubs play. The field is host to Major League Baseball and the Cubs for 104 years in 2020, that's a lot of baseball! The first pitch will begin at 6:40 pm, where the Cubs will play against the Pittsburgh Pirates under the lights. As we know, the home team has the advantage, so we'll have to make sure we cheer the Cubs on as they beat the Pirates.
The next day we travel to the South Side of the city to watch a game at Guaranteed Rate Field. Here we watch Chicago's other Major League Baseball team, the White Sox, battle it out on the diamond against the Kansas City Royals. We all know that the KC Royals are going to win, right?! Or will it be the Sox? Don't worry, we'll make sure the fans are separated on the bus, Royals on one side, and Sox on the other But after the game we will all celebrate together after watching our favorite teams play ball!
For our final game we will travel 2 hours north to Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to watch the Brewers play against the Pittsburgh Pirates. This amazing stadium features North America's only fan-shaped convertible roof which can open and close in less than ten minutes. It also allows natural grass to grow with large panes of glass. With nearly 42,000 seats, you'll have to make sure you cheer loud enough so that the Brewers can hear you through the crowd.
While we watch the games, we'll enjoy the classic baseball treats, peanuts, crackerjacks, and hot dogs! And since we will be in the city, we'll enjoy some of the deep dish pizza that Chicago is so famous for.
