Don't forget to pack your sunglasses and sunscreen on this this trip! Since we're in sunny San Diego, we will be spending time at the beach and enjoying the California sun, because that's what it's famous for, right? We will enjoy a day on the white sand building sandcastles on the coastline before heading over to Seaport Village for shopping and dining. This waterfront village as over 50 diverse shops it'll be easy to find a souvenir to bring home!

This trip isn't only about beaches though, San Diego has tons more to explore! Have you ever wondered what it's like to feed a giraffe? Or get an up-close view of rhinos, cheetahs, or an okapi? What's an okapi? This wild animal is native to Africa, with zebra like stripes on its legs and a brown body, it is one of the only living relatives to the giraffe. Join us at the 1,800-acre San Diego Wild Animal Park where you will get to learn about these and other wild and endangered animals. In this truly unique experience, you will get to see animals in free-range large enclosures. The species at this park come from all over the world, places such as Africa, Asia, and Australia.

The next day brings us to Balboa Park, home to over 16 museums, gardens, trails and other recreational attractions. This spectacular area offers the Model Railroad Museum which is the largest operating model railroad museum in the world! Here you will see hundreds of model toy trains, scale models and displays. And staying in the same the mode of transportation theme, we will stop by the San Diego Automotive Museum at Balboa Park where you will see more than 80 historic autos and motorcycles. If we have time, we will also visit the San Diego History Center where will learn all about the remarkable stories of the region.

Next at Balboa Park (it truly has almost every type of attraction you could imagine!), we go to Inez Grant Parker Memorial Rose Garden and the Botanical Building and Lily Pond. This stunning area offers over 1,600 roses on a three-acre site. We will then head over to the amazing Lily Pond and Lagoon, which is one of the most photographed scenes in Balboa Park. These beautiful and rare plants include orchid displays, palms, and lotus.

This is one exciting, sunny, and eventful vacation you won't want to miss!
