If you’re a Little House on the Prairie superfan then this is the ultimate trip for you! Head to Walnut Grove, Minnesota to see the 50th anniversary celebration and cast reunion!

On this special trip to Minnesota, we’ll immerse ourselves in all things Little House on the Prairie. Walnut Grove was the the childhood home of Laura Ingalls Wilder. We’ll get to see the inspiration that made up the many stories that Laura tells. “On the Banks of Plum Creek”, the fourth book of the Little House on the Prairie series, chronicles her family’s time in this area of southwest Minnesota. We will also get a peek into the American pioneer life at the time by visiting the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum. On display are historic artifacts, several outbuildings and memorabilia from the TV show.

At the Museum, we will stroll through replicas of the settler’s house, schoolhouse, outhouse, and dugout which is similar to the one the Ingalls family live in when they first arrived at Plum Creek. After exploring the museum, we’ll head to the Laura Ingalls Wilder gift shop where there are many Little House on the Prairie themed souvenirs such as books, costumes, trinkets and more.

After the Museum, we’ll head to the 47th Wilder Pageant. This family-oriented outdoor live show is based on the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The show is set in the 1870s where she’ll narrate the story that reflects upon her life at that time in Walnut Grove. While watching the show enjoy some tasty concessions.

After learning all there is to know about Laura Ingalls Wilder through the Museum and Pageant, we get to see the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Little House on the Prairie. We’ll see the actors and learn about their time filming the hit show.

Stay tuned for additional activities as the 50th Anniversary Committee announces them closer to our departure date!
