Celebrate the holiday season with Special Journeys in Branson, Missouri! This trip is a traveler favorite filled with cheerful shows, joyful music, and a lovely dinner cruise.
We will begin our holiday trip by hopping aboard the beautiful Branson Belle Showboat. This majestic boat is known as “America’s Most Entertaining Lake Adventure” themed after the classic vessels of the 1800s. The Belle has the classic red water wheels on the back that help propel her along the water as we sit back and watch a dazzling show on Table Rock Lake. You’ll be transported to the days of paddleboats along the Mississippi River. The Branson Belle travels at a whopping 6 miles per hour while we enjoy a delicious 3-course meal. After the extended intermission, which we’ll use to take in the scenery and beauty of the lake and its surroundings, we’ll then watch a talented group of singers, dancers and entertainers perform popular holiday songs. It’s an amazing activity to kick off our holiday trip!
The next day we’ll travel to the Sight and Sound Theater where we’ll watch the Miracle of Christmas. This theatre provides a state-of-the-art production to bring to life the true story of Christmas. The production begins with Joseph and Mary of Nazareth during the trials they go through leading up to the birth of Jesus. The play comes to life as we see beautiful horses, donkeys, sheep and more (yes, real live animals on stage!) during this nativity story. Filled with beautiful costumes, extensive visual and audio effects and Bible stories, this is an astonishing production you won’t want to miss.
Our next show will get you movin’, goovin’ and into the Christmas spirit as we watch Clay Copper’s Country Express featuring an Ozark Mountain Christmas Celebration. This talented cast of 27 entertainers will blow us away with their singing, dancing and comedy. They’ll provide us with plenty of holiday classic songs, new country, and a wonderful salute to our American Veterans.
We’ll have time for one more show before heading home, but we’ll have plenty of time to do some holiday shopping at the area’s local stores. Another traveler favorite is Ozarkland. Here you’ll find the best trinkets, think keychains, pens, and stickers, to clothing like T-shirts and sweatshirts. Don’t forget about the candy selection as well, homemade fudge, assorted taffy and delicious chocolates.
Be sure to sign up for this trip to if you want to sing, laugh, and dance your way into the Holiday season!
