Giddy Up partner and Join us on a South Dakota Rachin’ Adventure to Joy Ranch!

Our trip starts in Watertown at the Terry Redlin Museum.  This special place pays homage to nature artist Terry Redlin.  The Center is located just outside of town and is home to over 160 of his original paintings.  The center was a gift from his family so that generations to come might enjoy his magnificent talents.  We’ll spend some time browsing the gallery and we’ll have lunch on the balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds.  We’ll also have time to shop in two of the onsite gift shops.

Next we will head downtown to the Painted Fox where we will paint (and take home) our very own piece of pottery!  That’s right you’ll design your masterpiece then we’ll have it mailed to you once it’s completed.  What fun!

The remainder of our time will be spent at Joy Ranch in Florence.  Our days will be filled with much fun and enjoyment as we explore the ranch.   The ranch has hotel-like accommodations so no worries about sleeping in a bunk or a sleeping bag although we will see some beautiful South Dakota skies (when we do step outside)!   We will also enjoy home cooked meals made onsite as well as all the modern amenities you need to have a great rachin’ time!

Joy Ranch is situated on 126 acres along Lake Lyle.  It offers a varied and diverse landscape packed with fun activities and plenty of chances to explore.  Some of the activities we’ll enjoy include: sing-alongs, crafts such as bracelet making, games and time to enjoy some guided animal experiences.  We will also enjoy the surrounding scenery including an onsite 1800s town where you can take a walk back in ranchin’ time.

We’ll also have a hoedown complete with a photo booth, campfires and smores, wagon rides around the ranch and pontoon boat rides on Lake Lyle.  It’ll be a fun filled week for sure!
