Enjoy 2010’s best vacation value loaded with tons of fun! We will begin our trip with a party in Sioux Falls where you will have the chance to meet your new friends and enjoy a fun evening. The next day we will visit the famous Corn Palace which is contains amazing pictures made from corn! Those interested can visit the Doll Museum while everyone else strolls through the nearby shops. We will then enjoy a great lunch experience and drive through the prairie countryside. Before the play we will stroll through the vendor area looking at crafts and other shopping opportunities and take a hay wagon ride.
The big performance is a presentation of "The First Four Years with Memories of Silver Lake". This will be the first-ever performance of Laura Ingalls Wilder's book "The First Four Years". We will watch Laura and Almanzo Wilder begin married life on their small prairie homestead with high hopes. The beautiful prairie world seems like a paradise; there are wildflowers in spring, wild geese in autumn, pony rides and warm times together. But each year brings unforeseen disasters as well-storms destroy the crops; there is sickness, fire and always unpaid debts. The first four years often prove heartbreaking for the Wilders. But they have each other, and their little daughter Rose, and a fierce determination to succeed.
