Our trip begins with a visit to the Precious Moments Park and gift shop. Spend some time enjoying the creations of Sam Butcher on this unique stop. We will have lunch and spend time in the gift shop, which is the largest in the world! Bring those Christmas lists along as there will be plenty of time for shopping! Afterwards we will tour the marvelous grounds and the see the paintings by Sam Butcher and stained glass. On your visit you can also look up and see that Mr. Butcher even painted the ceiling by hand!
When we reach Eureka Springs we will see the special Christmas performance of the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down! This performance is rated one of the area’s top attractions and has been running for 28 years! Your show includes country, pop, gospel and bluegrass selections along with comedy from P. Nutt in a high energy atmosphere. Of course Special Journeys will be sure to arrive early and attend the comedy pre-show. Since this show (and most of the events in Eureka Springs) ONLY run on weekends in December we have scheduled our trip so that you can attend these attractions. Our other show will be the Pine Mountain Jubilee Show featuring holiday, classic country, top 40 and gospel along with plenty of humor.
We will visit the Thorncrown Chapel located in the heart of Eureka Springs. This beautiful chapel promises breath taking views of the area. Located in the heart of Eureka Springs, visitors come from all over to experience the tranquil scenery.
Along the way there will be opportunities for shopping. Our hotel will have a pool so pack a bathing suit. We will also have movie nights and plenty of time for getting into the Christmas spirit! Pack your holiday spirit and join us on this spectacular WEEKEND Christmas adventure.
Note: The shows in Eureka Springs only run on weekends during the Christmas season. Therefore, our trip must take place over a weekend since there is a limited number of attractions in Eureka Springs. This trip is our relaxing 2009 vacation versus the Branson trip which features many more shows and attractions!
