All aboard this train trip to the scenic Canadian Rockies! First, we will travel up to Winnipeg, Manitoba and see the sights and shops in this city. Then we will board a train to the Canadian Rockies, eh! (“eh”, it’s a Canadian thing). Our train ride will take us across the Canadian prairie provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Your train ride will be full of scenic views through some of the prettiest scenery you’ve ever seen.

We will leave the train at the entrance of Jasper National Park and spend some time relaxing and enjoying the incredible views! The next day we will head into the Park and see the amazing sights of this beautiful area. We will see Medicine Lake (where the water level varies from season to season and sometimes actually disappears!). We will also see Maligne Canyon, one of the most spectacular gorges in the Canadian Rockies. Afterwards we will take a one and a half hour boat cruise on Maligne Lake past glacier-studded mountain peaks to the world famous Spirit Island.

The next day we will spend a scenic day driving between Jasper and Banff. There will be lots of stops to see the beautiful views and the local wildlife. When we reach Banff we will attend the award winning “Oh Canada Eh” dinner show. Meet Mounties, lumberjacks, a hockey player, Anne of Green Gables and many other Canadian characters as you enjoy songs and scenes of Canada.

In Banff we will enjoy the Columbia Icefield & Glacier aboard a custom ice bus. The bus will take us on an unforgettable tour of the Athabasca Glacier along with other breath-taking vistas and scenery! You will even have a chance to walk on the Glacier! Afterwards we will visit the Icefield Interpretive Centre and learn more about this area.

We will also enjoy the Banff Gondola Ride were we will travel up to see outstanding panoramic views of Banff and the Canadian Rockies. This promises to be the best photo opportunity of the trip. You may also see mountain sheep as you enjoy the views!
